Apple 於 2021 年 4 月 26 日在 iOS 14.5 和 iPadOS 14.5 中發布了最後一個重要的表情符號，總共帶來了 226 個新表情符號、更新和膚色變化。這大約是 iOS 15.4 和 iPadOS 15.4 的兩倍，但仍然有很多表情符號出現在“常用”部分。
新的表情符號目前處於 2022 年 2 月 8 日發布的 iOS 15.4 和 iPadOS 15.4 的第二個測試版中。這些表情符號也出現在蘋果的 macOS Monterey 12.3 更新中，該更新也處於測試版 2 中。在穩定之前可能還剩下一些測試版已發布版本供大家安裝。
